This was a very old work of mine, was requested by my friend Maramala. He ask me if I could draw a versus between Shishio Makoto (from Samurai X) and Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy 7). Due to the fact that he is in an anime forum that time. Each member of that forum(kinda forgot the name though) contributes a story in a big royal rumble tournament versus between characters from any anime, comics, manga, WWF (now WWE) and video games.
My friend's contribution is that when Shishio Makoto died, he led a revolt in Hell and overthrow Lucifer and he became the next Demon Lord. And when Cloud Strife died, he was sent to Hell. Then both have a title match, who ever wins, will become the new Demon Lord of Hell.
Pencils and colors by me
Shishio Makoto is owned by Nabuhiro Watsuki
Cloud Strife is owned by SquareSoft.
Cloud's Omnislash would never be a match for CCO's composure.
1. Hell is a place that is theorized to be the kind of place where you can be ripped apart, severed, skewered, and reduced to absolutely nothing and then reformed in an instant so that you can endure even more torture and pain.
2. Both are incredible fighters who have the will to fight endlessly if they are able.
3. Without the limitations of their bodies they CAN fight endlessly.
Given all that, this would be one hell of a match to watch but the only way it could end is in a stalemate.
In terms of afterlife; while Sephiroth was busy trying to resurrect himself and destroy Midgar, Shishio went and conquered Hell (it was stated that's what he was going to do and it's a popularly held belief that he succeeded, which is more than can be said for any of Sephiroth's plans.)
